In the belief that research and advanced education flourish best in a broad intellectual climate, the FAES encourages and sponsors nonscientific programs of interest to the NIH community. After a successful 40 years of the Chamber Music Series the FAES will start to support the well-received Manchester String Quartet, that featured many outstanding artists.

Their Monday noontime concerts are held at the NIH Masur Auditorium – the schedule for the 2009-2010 season is given below:

October 5th - Mozart Viola Quintet
November 9th -Mozart String Quartet
December 7th - Mozart and Brahms Clarinet Quintets

2010
January 11th - Brahms String Quartet
February 8th - Brahms Viola Quintet
March 8th - Mendelssohn String Quartet Opus 13
April 5th - Mendelssohn Viola Quintet Opus 18
May 10th - Mendelssohn Octet Opus 20

All concerts being at 12:30 p.m.
