Mac Hopkins is a field application specialist from BD Biosciences supporting the Rhapsody and single-cell multi-omics applications on the East Coast. Mac received his master’s degree from Michigan State University in 2014 and has been working in the field of next-generation sequencing for the last 6 years. His main focus has been on practical applications of novel techniques ranging from bulk whole genome sequencing to single-cell assays. Throughout his career, Mac has been assisting researchers design and implement various next-generation sequencing projects from inception through data analysis.

Dr. Siva Chavadi joined New England Biolabs as a Senior Field Application Scientist focusing on NEBNext products. Prior to NEB, Siva managed multiple NGS projects from conception to data delivery while working at GENEWIZ as a Senior Study Manager. Siva has received his Ph.D. from the University of Hyderabad, India. For his graduation and postdoctoral work, he has utilized functional genomics as a tool to develop novel diagnostics, anti-bacterials and vaccines against tuberculosis. During this time, Siva utilized NGS based assays as a high throughput method for screening bacterial mutants.

Dr. Christian Aguilera-Sandoval received his PhD from UCLA in Immunology and later completed a post-doc in immunology at UNC-Chapel Hill.  Christian has over 10 years of flow cytometry experience and has previously published his work in journals including Nature, Nature Biotechnology, AIDS and PLoS Pathogens.  Christian is BD/FlowJo’s application scientist for the SouthEast USA and Latin America.
