Metagenomics is gaining importance due to low cost next generation sequencing technologies.This training will introduce participants to the endtoendsolutions for analyzing metagenomicdata, starting from data quality analysis, alignment, community profiling, taxonomic comparisonand novel taxa discovery.
Participants should be comfortable with basic computer skills.
Participants will work with a Graphic User Interface based Linux Desktop environment in theAmazon Cloud, that is specially configured to run popular open source metagenomics analysistools. Participants will be able to save and take home a copy of the fully configured AmazonMachine Image for their personal use after the training. Participants will also receive a cookbookstyle manual for all the handsonexercises. After training support is also provided throughexclusive members only forum.

Although no grades are given for courses, each participant will receive Continuing Education Units (CEUs) based on the number of contact hours. One CEU is equal to ten contact hours. Upon completion of the course each participant will receive a certificate, showing completion of the workshop and 2.8 CEUs.
100% tuition refund or 100% full workshop credit is available for registrations cancelled 14 or more days prior to the start of the workshop.
50% tuition refund or 100% full workshop credit is available for registrations cancelled between 4 to 13 days prior to the start of the workshop.
0% refund, 100% full workshop credit is available for registrations cancelled 3 days or less prior to the start of the workshop.
