BioTech 92 | RNA Library Prep for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) | 2-Day Hands On Workshop

NIH Only: Payment approval and authorization is done through your AO or labmanager. Receiving lab approval does not constitute enrollment. Fellows or those being sponsored by their lab can enroll using this form while waiting forauthorization of payment.

Workshops generally run from 9:00am - 5:00pm.

The training will also address:

Experts from academia and industry will teach how to prepare RNA-seq libraries Participants will prepare Total RNA sequencing libraries using the  NEB Next UltraII Directional RNA Library Prep Kit and  rRNA depletion kit (Human, Mouse and Rat) for Illumina next generation sequencing (NGS)* 

BRING YOUR OWN SAMPLE!
Control RNA will be provided.  Participants are welcome to bring one to Total RNA sample (Human, Mouse or Rat species). If bringing your own sample, please bring 5 ng – 1 ug total RNA (DNA-free) in up to 12 ul of Nuclease-free water, quantified by Qubit Fluorometer and quality checked by Bioanalyzer.  For questions regarding samples, please contact velichamthotuj@nih.gov 

Prerequisites
Participants should be comfortable with basic computer skills.

Credit
Although no grades are given for courses, each participant will receive Continuing Education Units (CEUs) based on the number of contact hours.   One CEU is equal to ten contact hours.   Upon completion of this course each participant will receive a certificate, showing completion of the workshop and 2.8 CEUs.

Refund Policy                                                                                                             
100% tuition refund or 100% full workshop credit is available for registrations cancelled 14 or more days prior to the start of the workshop. 

50% tuition refund or 100% full workshop credit is available for registrations cancelled between 4 to 13 days prior to the start of the workshop. 

0% refund, 100% full workshop credit is available for registrations cancelled 
3 days or less prior to the start of the workshop.

Cancellations received after hours are time marked for the following day.  
In regards to a full or partial refund or a full workshop credit, you must indicate which option you are selecting at the time of your written cancellation. 
All refund payments will be processed by the start of the initial workshop.
