Enroll in the FAES Graduate School's new four-week, writing-intensive workshop designed for NIH trainees and scientists at all levels!
This workshop focuses on the organization of a research paper, with an emphasis on the two most difficult sections to write, Introduction and Discussion. It will also cover designing tables and figures and writing a clear and concise abstract and cover letter for submission to a journal. In addition, participants will learn about the publication process from a journal editor's perspective along with why manuscripts get accepted/rejected, how to choose the right journal for your paper, and how to navigate peer review. Participants receive and provide feedback on weekly written assignments through peer review groups, as well as receive feedback on writing from the instructor.
GRAD 500 is a new initiative of FAES and is offered as a non-credit, daytime workshop-based course. GRAD 500 is not part of the Graduate School's traditional, credit-bearing and semester-long evening courses.
