Providing hands-on biotechnology laboratory trainings at the NIH since 1984

Basic & Advanced Biotechniques | Immunology & Flow Cytometry | DNA / RNA Technology | Bioinformatics / Next Gen Sequencing | Stem Cell Techniques | Management Training For Scientists

FAES was founded in 1959 to provide educational services to the scientific community at the NIH through the establishment of the Graduate School. In 1984, the organization expanded its services and started offering a series of short-term, hands-on biotechnology training workshops. Today, FAES offers a variety of workshops ranging from basic cell culture techniques, to genome editing with CRISPR, to Next Generation Sequence data analysis through an extensive selection of postgraduate-level lectures and hands-on trainings.

Our workshops are team taught by active researchers from the National Institutes of Health and leading experts from academia and industry. Our short-term lab courses and management training for scientist classes will hone your skills and get you trained for your next job in research and/or industry. Our programs are specifically designed for individuals in the biomedical, life sciences, and pharmaceutical fields.
