FAES@NIH has been offering a variety of lab-based hands-on training workshops that are geared towards the NIH and other biomedical science communities since the early 90s.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit our region in early 2020 and all NIH labs had to close, we swiftly adapted by transforming these programs to an online delivery format. Through utilizing a variety of online platforms, we have maintained and enhanced the highly interactive nature of our workshops and even expanded our catalog of offerings especially in the Bioinformatics and Data Science Department.
Without a need to secure physical classrooms and recruit instructors from the nearby region, we have been able to offer workshops during weekends and evenings and bring on board the most qualified instructors from anywhere in the country.
