community

FAES supports biomedical research at the NIH with academic programs and services to connect talented trainees as colleagues and scientists. The Community for Biomedical Innovation at NIH creates a hub at NIH where fellows collaborate, access affordable housing, and develop professional relationships to support and enhance their research productivity throughout their future careers.

As an independent nonprofit closely allied with the NIH, FAES is supplying the land and resources to build a new academic community to foster collaboration, creativity, and research among tomorrow's top scientists.

A Legacy of Discovery

In 1959, 11 NIH scientists founded FAES to expand the horizons and education of NIH trainees. Now FAES is building for the future with resources to attract, train, and connect generations of talented biomedical research scholars at NIH to ease patient suffering and advance public health.

FAES supports the NIH mission of research and training in biomedical science by promoting the productivity and attractiveness of academic life at NIH.
