Effective November 1, 2020
Since 1959 the Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences (FAES) has been working to support the professional and educational mission of the National Institutes of Health. This support has included a health insurance program for select members of the NIH community over the past several decades. We have made many changes over the years with the end goal of ensuring a robust and sustainable plan.
FAES will continue to offer the AETNA Signature Administrators PPO for the 2020-2021 plan year. We are pleased to announce the addition of a bundled dental and vision plan through MetLife effective November 1, 2020 for all FAES insurance subscribers.
If you are currently enrolled your membership in the medical plan will renew and you will automatically be enrolled in the dental and vision plan effective November 1, 2020.
Open Enrollment will be from September 14 to 25, 2020. FAES will be hosting daily virtual Open Enrollment sessions beginning September 14th through September 25th at 3pm. Please attend one of these sessions to learn of about the plan offerings. The virtual meeting link along with additional information will be sent out closer to the Open Enrollment dates. The information will be posted on the FAES website.
