Super Resolution Microscopy | 4-Day Hands On Workshop

Super Resolution Microscopy represents a group of recently developed light microscopic techniques that are able to exceed diffraction-limited resolution (less than 200nm). This course will focus on three types of Super Resolution Microscopy- Structured Illumination Microscopy (SIM), Stochastic Optical Reconstruction Microscopy (STORM), and Stimulated Emission Depletion (STED).

Writing and Publishing a Scientific Paper Workshop (Grad 500)

This is a four-week, writing-intensive workshop designed for NIH trainees and scientists at all levels looking to write a draft manuscript for journal submission, gain a greater understanding of the submission process, and further develop their technical scientific writing skills. A certificate of completion will be awarded to those participants who successfully complete the course. This course is a new initiative of FAES and is offered as a non-credit, daytime course that is not part of the Graduate School's traditional credit-bearing, semester-long evening course offerings.

GRAD 500 Writing and Publishing a Scientific Paper Workshop (ONLINE)

This four-session, non-credit writing-intensive workshop is designed for all scientists who plan to publish results of their work in scientific journals.  Participants will write a draft of a research paper based on data generated from their current or previous study for publication in a peer-reviewed science journal.

Transfer of Credits

FAES courses can be accepted in transfer by U.S. colleges or universities, although students should not assume this without checking with the admissions officers of the receiving institution. Students who wish to work for an undergraduate, graduate, or higher degree, should consult the program officials at the institution from which they expect to receive a degree, and, if applicable, receive advance approval for any FAES course that they plan to use toward a future degree.
