After graduating from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia, and receiving my Master’s degree in biology, I worked in the National Institute of Preventative Medicine. In 1991 I moved with my family to the USA and joined the Department of Biochemistry at USUHS, Bethesda as a Research Assistant. For a couple of years I worked as a Lab Manager in NICHD, NIH before returning to USUHS where I currently work as a Senior Research Associate.

FAES invested approximately $12 million to renovate space in the NIH Clinical Center and create a state-of-the-art Student-Faculty Academic Center, which opened in 2013. The FAES Student-Faculty Academic Center features dynamic classroom spaces that subdivide to smaller conference rooms; an accessible flex-use terrace for essential activites in Bldg.
