Author Meet & Greet: Dr. Steven Pinker | March 5 @ 5:30pm, FAES Bookstore

On March 5th the FAES Bookstore @ NIH will host Dr. Steven Pinker – cognitive psychologist, linguist and Harvard professor – after his presentation as part of the Demystifying Medicine lecture series. In addition to writing for The New York Times, The Guardian, and other major publications, he is a bestselling author with over a dozen books to his credit.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Rachel Schreiber this week for our February session of our Lunch and Learn Leadership Series at The National Institutes of Health focused on exposing the NIH Trainee population to a wide variety of exceptional professionals to talk about their careers and how to achieve success and life balance. Dr. Schreiber is a business owner, Diplomate of the American Board of Allergy / Immunology and has received the Washingtonian Magazine "Top Doctor" and a Washington Consumer Checkbook Top Doctor distinctions.

 

Author Meet & Greet: Dr. Andrew Shatté | February 7, FAES Bookstore

On February 7th, join the FAES Bookstore @ NIH for a meet & greet with Dr. Andrew Shatté, founder and president of the Phoenix Life Academy- a training company that specializes in measuring and training for resilience and stress management. He is a Ph.D psychologist, and is currently working as a Research Professor in the Univ. of Arizona Medical School. Additionally, as a fellow with the Brookings Institute, he trains high-level executives from the Department of Defense, Homeland Security, the IRS, NASA, the CIA, and all branches of the military.
