FAES Dedicates New Scholar House

The Foundation for the Advanced Education in the Sciences (FAES) dedicated the first of six new scholar houses that opened in August 2022 as part of the new community for biomedical innovation at the National Institutes of Health. The house, located at 5209 West Cedar Lane, was named the “International Biomedical Research Alliance Founders’ House” in an outdoor ceremony on Sept. 13.

Virtual Info Session: FAES Academic Programs Fall 2022 Session B

Learn about upcoming FAES academic courses in the Fall 2022 semester, session B. FAES staff will answer questions about course delivery, timing, credit transfers, microcredentials, and scholarships available for tuition discounts. Courses cover a variety of essential topics including immunology, microbiology, neuroscience, English, emotional Intelligence, leadership, and more. FAES also offers bioinformatics and math classes to learn the latest in data science, including coding, next generation sequencing (NGS), and mathematical modeling.

National Symphony Orchestra at the NIH

The NIH Clinical Center and the Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences are pleased to announce a concert by the full National Symphony Orchestra on Tuesday, September 20th at 12:00 pm in the Clinical Research Center (Bldg.10) Atrium. Please note that all Covid protocols including screening and wearing a close-fitting face mask will be in place throughout the performance.

Patients, their family members, visitors and staff are encouraged to attend. Limited seating will be available on the 1st floor of the Atrium, with additional viewing available on the 3rd – 7th floors.

FAES is proud to support America’s Health Responders and offer a new line of branded apparel and merchandise to celebrate the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service now available in the FAES Bookstore and Gift Shops and through our online store, www.shopfaes.com. We salute our colleagues in the Public Health Service and we are thrilled to offer emblematic clothing and gift items, with more being added in the coming months, for this branch of uniformed colleagues united in the service of health.

FAES is governed by a Board of Directors through the Board Chair, other officers, and a series of advisory committees. FAES Directors may vote in Board elections and are encouraged to participate in program management.
